Advanced Class

This class is for those who have completed all their Good Citizen Awards, and achieved grade C in the Grades class. In the Advanced class we take your dog training to the next level offering awards that keep dogs mentally engaged and help build their confidence. We coach handlers to teach their dogs more sophisticated, complex behaviours and skills, while encouraging dogs to respond to a wider range of cues reliably and consistently. Our emerald, Ruby and Platinum awards are graded according to difficulty. Handlers work towards these awards refining exercises such as retrieve instead of retrieving a dumbbell a dog will be asked to retrieve a number of different articles making for a more confident, well rounded companion. Additional opportunities to work towards our Challenge Awards such as Heelwork to Music, Hoopers, Fun Agility and Parkour are also scheduled throughout the year.

Dog Parkour involves actions like climbing, balancing, and jumping. It is a low-impact activity that builds a dog's confidence, enhances their body awareness, and strengthens the bond between dog and owner. The sport can be practiced with safe objects found around the home, the garden, or on walks, and is suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities. We hold occasional Parkour workshops with our certified instructor throughout the year.

Hoopers Class

Dog Hoopers is a low impact sport without jumps, sharp turns or weaving poles.  It is therefore suitable for dogs of all ages. The courses consist of hoops, short tunnels, mats and barrels.

Dog Hoopers helps you to build your relationship with your dog, building confidence and communication.  The sport is a great way to provide physical exercise and mental stimulation for your dog.  It also benefits from being inclusive for both dogs and handlers.

Hoopers can easily be done with improvised equipment at home and in the garden.
